I believe that the quotation: “He who has a why to live can bear with almost any how” means that as long as a person has a reason to live or someone to live for, they can endure any problems that come their way. I agree with this quote because it is true that a person has a reason for living and that reason will allow him to bear any hardship. This quotation relates to the book “Night” by Elie Wiesel because Elie is determined to keep living in order to be with his father. In this book, Elie tells his story as a young Jewish boy that was detained in a concentration camp. He was tortured, abused, and treated like an animal. Jews at that time were forced to give up everything they had including their homes, families, pictures, and possessions. The Jews turned from nice people to savages in order to stay alive. They also turned to savages as a response to the animal-like treatments they received from the Germans. Many were so devastated from the treatment they received that they even denied god for not helping them throughout their life in the concentration camps.
