Your Question
Graph the function y = x2 over [0; 2], and indicate the region between the graph
and the y-axis by shade. In another graph, draw the solid obtained by rotating this region
about the y-axis. Divide the solid into N thin disks with thickness Δy by horizontal plains.
What is the approximation of the area areai of the i - th thin disk’s base? Calculate the
volume of the thin disk Vi = areai x thinckness. Add them up to derive an approximation
of the total volume. What is the limit of the sum in the integral form? Calculate the total
volume of the solid.........Any help will do, even if it isn't the entire answer....THANKS
