Your Question
I just want to see the numbers fit into the equation. Thank you so much!

Modern networking devices, including firewalls and proxy servers, make use of data mining technology to detect potential network intrusion. Assume that the intrusion detection process is 98% accurate, that is, hacker attacks will test positive 98% of the time, and normal connections will test negative 98% of the time. Assume that .5% of all connections are hacker attacks. How likely is it that a connection that tested positive, signaled by the intrusion detector as abnormal, will actually be a hacker attack? Express it as a percentage (Hint: apply Bayes\' rule.)
