1/8(16Y + 8) -17 = - 1/4(8Y - 16)
Here is how I solved it, could you please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
8 x 1/8 =1 and 1/4 x 8 = 2
So 16Y + 8 - 17 = - 16Y + 32
16Y/-16Y + 8 - 17 = 32
Y + 8 -17 = 32
And then I come up with 7 as the answer.
I get confused on the order of operations with these problems- any tips would be helpful..
