Your Question
What is meant by conservation of charge? If I put 60mC of charge on the tip of my ball-point pen, with which I can write at a rate of 6 letters per second, and then begin to write the following statement “conservation of charge is the process whereby for every credit card created one is destroyed”, how much of the sentence will get written, assuming the current of 12mA only flows from pen to paper (ground) when contact is made (i.e. for each letter), before there is no net charge left on the pen?
